As early as first grade, I’ve made stick figures with thought clouds just to express all the stories that are bottled in me. By fifth grade, my uncle has given me a book entitled Tom’s Midnight Garden. This book spurred gazillions of ideas and from then on, I wrote non-stop. I was able to produce 9 novels (all unpublished to date) by high school.
I knew then that I wanted to be a writer. And so fast forward from that incident for 20 years and here I am–trying so hard to fulfill my childhood dream. I haven’t realized until now that it takes more than just imagination to come up with a readable book (even an e-book). You’ve got to spend time, effort, and even some finances (not to mention being placid from the rantings of my kids on the background!).
But I know that my dream is within my grasp and I can already see my name labeled as an author. May God give me the strength to go through all this. I’m just a stone’s throw away…
